Methodology

infrarus is an aggregator, not an originator of OSINT. We collect what credible outlets and established open-source channels report, place it on a map, and keep it honest.

Every strike carries a confidence level — confirmed, probable, unconfirmed, or debunked — and links to its sources. We keep debunked entries visible, marked as such, rather than deleting them.

Sources are tiered. Tier-1 sources (established outlets and trusted OSINT channels) can substantiate that a strike happened, what was hit, and the damage level. Tier-2 sources may only supply photo or video, never serve as the sole basis for a factual claim.

Aggregate figures are bottom-up. Where we show a percentage — for example the share of an operator's logistics capacity damaged — it is the sum of tracked, sourced damage measured against a figure the operator itself has published. We do not invent national totals.

For refining, note that 'nameplate capacity offline' is not the same as 'crude actually not processed' — the two diverge substantially, and we label the distinction wherever the number appears.

We do not report casualties.

Occupied territories, including Crimea, are shown as part of Ukraine.
